In 2018- 2019 model year Chevy re-introduced the nameplate of the Blazer! They had created a lot of buzz about this iconic name coming back into the line-up. The new Blazer still had the same idea of the original Blazer in being a sport utility SUV. It delivers on that statement even more so than the original K5 Blazer.

The 18-19 model year Blazer departed from the original K5 Blazer. Which may have left some enthusiasts of the original K5 whish that Chevy had stuck to a similar design of the original. However, the new Blazer is looked at as the Camaro of the mid-sized crossover world. This new Blazer is sporty, sleek, sexy, and fun to drive.

Although the iconic K5 Blazer was called a sport utility SUV it was more aimed to compete with the Jeep CJ series. The K5 was on a full-size truck frame which was later used for the Chevy Tahoe. The K5 Blazer was more off-road-ready and less sport-oriented. The new Blazer is much more focused on being a fun sporty “Camaro cross-over” with great utility in the back.
